Open Water Certification is a 2-weekend course held entirely at Blue Stone Dive Resort. The only exception being during the Fall & Winter months. The Academic part of the course will be taught at Blue Stone and the Pool Skills at High Point Swim Club during this time. Open water checkout dives will need to be conducted on a Florida trip or we can give you a referral.
On your first day you will need to show up a few minutes early to get checked in and fitted for your rental gear. Bring a lunch or we do have light snacks and microwave burgers. Bring bathing suit, sunscreen, towel, completed workbook and dive logbook, mask, fin, snorkel, boot package. Allow for a full day, classes start at 9:00AM and could last till around 4:00PM.

Jan - Mar 2026 Open Water Course is $550 which includes Florida Springs Trip. Travel, Food and Lodging NOT INCLUDED. All academics are taking place at Blue Stone Dive Resort, in Thomasville NC.
